Lit-Based Art & Writing

This class will be taught on Mondays from 10-12PM

This class is designed for students who are emerging/initial readers and writers. Literature-based art focuses on children's listening skills and assesses student understanding using the Socratic Method during class discussions. Students learn how to identify characters, setting, theme, plot, morals, conflict, and resolution. Students then respond to each read aloud through writing their own ideas and creating fine art based on story illustrations.
