History

Dan and Dawn started beekeeping in 2005 after their children developed pollen allergies. They found a plethora of reasons to keep working with honeybees including garden pollination, organic vermiculite for composting, candle making, bee-sting therapy, and science-based education. Dawn started teaching family-oriented beekeeping classes in 2008 and has taught hundreds of families how to start beekeeping and harvest their own honey. Dawn is a master beekeeper and gardener with a M.A. Ed. Education Leadership.
